Do I have to RSVP if I don't plan on attending?
If you do not RSVP one way or another, you will NOT have a seat and or a plate. This isn't because we don't love you, it's because we love so many of you that seating is limited and if you don't respond to the RSVP, we will take that as an answer (that you will not be attending).*
*We would still graciously, appreciate you marking that you are unable to attend so that we know ahead of time! Thank you!
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes! Who doesn't like to eat?! We'll have a trail mix station during Happy Half-Hour, as well as dinner and dessert and an open bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
Can I record the ceremony? My date can't make it!
This is an unplugged ceremony. We ask that our guests leave it to our professionals holding the cameras to take care of the recording/picture taking and you just enjoy the love story in front of you! Feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like during the reception.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! There will be water, tea, and lemonade available during the entire reception for all guests as well as your favorite adult beers and wine!
My kids aren't on the invite, can I bring them anyway?
This is an adult evening, so no kiddos at this wedding! Also, there are only so many seats at this venue and we ask that the only people attending the wedding are the names on the invitation. (There will NOT be extra seats for uninvited guests)
I'm not a big fan of dancing, what can I do instead?
Meet new people! Garrett and I come from different walks of life and backgrounds. This is an awesome time to meet new people, strike up a conversation with a stranger, and maybe make a new friend.
There is also a great photo closet with props and hats! Take photos and use the hashtag #TheSebertWedding so we can all view them later!
Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony is taking place in the courtyard and the reception is in the Firehouse next to it.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will start at 4PM and parking will be on the street, so please consider the logistics of finding parking and keep that in mind when deciding what time to leave the house/hotel. We ask that you arrive no earlier than 3:15PM due to parking time limits (we don't want you to get towed!).
What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by March 30th, 2025. With dinner being served and seating being limited, an accurate headcount prior to the event is required and we would greatly appreciate you ensuring that happens.
Is there parking available near your wedding venue?
The wonderful and historic Fire Station No. 2 is located on the whimsical C-Street. Because of this, parking for our venue is street parking. Please note that our wedding is on a Friday evening which means that it might be busy at local, nearby restaurants/businesses and you will want to find parking ahead of time. (Please do not arrive earlier than 3:15PM at the venue because we don't want your car towed due to weekday parking restrictions.)
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Garrett and Laramie are people who live in color. Their love story is filled with color and life. Please consider wearing Spring/Summery cocktail formal.
Suggestions:
Florals, bright, vivid colors that YOU feel your best in! Dresses, skirts, suits, ties, etc. (The ceremony is outside so if you're not a strong heel wear-er, you might want to consider a wedge...)
What is the weather like in the area?
Oh weather in Springfield Missouri...
It's incredibly unpredictable. It might be the most beautiful, Spring evening. It also might be horrendously cloudy and rainy. Could be cold. Will most likely be humid (because when is it not?). Who knows? It might already be 90 and blazing hot with a pop-up thunderstorm. We would recommend preparing for the unknown. Check your most trusted weather app often. Our local weather station is KY3 (Ron Hurst is the man).
What is your wedding hashtag?
#TheSebertWedding
