Laramie sent Garrett a message on Hinge saying he had "Kind Eyes" and they matched. (This was Laramie's very first message, the very first time she had ever participated on online dating and trust me, she was nervous. She went so far as to not tell people the actual story of how they met because you know all good episodes of Dateline start with "...and they met on an online dating site..." so you'll have to forgive her if you got the abridged version.) Laramie messaging Garrett though... that was meant to be.

Garrett and Laramie met for the very first time at The Potter's House in Springfield Missouri. According to Garrett, it was THE coffee house of Springfield (little did he know that Laramie didn't drink caffeine anymore but it was all good. Nothing a yummy shake wouldn't make up for). They started their adventure outside and when the sun became too warm, (and Laramie had to remove her cardigan and fess up to an arm-full of tattoos, including a brand new one she had gotten that morning) they ventured inside where they continued a conversation that lasted over 3 hours long. Laramie called her dear friend Marcie on the way home and told her that she thought she had just been on a date with her future husband. It was also one of the few Cardinals game of the season that she had missed... and it was 100% worth it. (This photo was taken exactly one year later when Garrett and Laramie went back to The Potter's House, wearing the exact outfits they had worn the same fateful day that they met for the very first time because you know, they do corny stuff like that.)

On this date in history, Garrett officially became Foo's favorite person when he joined Foo and Laramie for Foo's first photo with Santa. Laramie took the role of third wheel despite their many, matching outfits (she wears that badge happily).

Laramie and Garrett's first Christmas photo together! If you've ever spent time with Laramie, you know that she comes with a trail of glitter and in this particular instance, Garrett had some of that glitter in his mustache and on his face.

Laramie took Garrett to his first Opening Day of the Springfield Cardinals. (KY3's 65 Degree Guarantee did not pan out but hey, they got a free ticket for later that season)

Garrett and Laramie took their first big trip together to Seattle/The Olympic National Park in Washington (it had long been a bucket list item for both of them). This trip was one of the most magical experiences for both (and they definitely would recommend a trip out there if you haven't been)!

On May 5th, Garrett closed on the Clayton street house and it was official, Garrett and Laramie would begin a household together with just the two of them, Foo, and Bruce. While creating a home together takes a lot of work and effort, every moment has been completely worth it.

If you know Garrett and Laramie, then you have most likely heard about how much they love their garden. It has been a major labor of love and this was their first zucchini of the season after coming home from their first trip to Nashville, TN. Their garden might have gotten started a little later that first season but just like all things meant to be in life, there's no set timelines and what's meant to be will always find a way when it's properly nurtured and taken care of.

Laramie and Garrett LOVE music... and with good music comes DANCING! (This was from Garrett's college roommate's wedding (Lucas & Ali) and they provided wonderful music to dance to!)

Laramie and Garrett took Donna to Silver Dollar City on the final day of the season. (If you haven't rode Powder Keg in the dark, then you're missing out.)

Final date night before leaving for Vermont at one of their favorite restaurants, Ocean Zen. (They have the most tasty Korean BBQ ribs)

On April 8th at 3:26PM in North Hero Vermont, surrounded by family (old and new), Garrett proposed to Laramie as the moon eclipsed the sun for full totality and they both decided they wanted to spend a lifetime as one. It was the easiest "yes" Laramie has ever said.

Garrett broke the news of his and Laramie's engagement to Foo when they got home from Vermont. He was at best, unfazed and at most, immediately demanding of his canned cat food.
